Bajaj chetak : Bajaj is preparing to make a big splash for its Chetak electric scooter brand this year. The company is going to launch its most affordable variant in a few days. But the most interesting thing is that it will also upgrade the Chetak Electric early next year.

According to Rakesh Sharma, a senior company official, Chetak had performed well as a brand in the last financial year and the company is confident of good growth in the current year as well. However, to further boost that growth, there are plans to introduce an entry-level Chetak variant for the Indian market. Pictures of this model have been leaked before.

Currently Chetak is available in two variants – Premium and Urban. The Premium is priced at Rs 1.47 lakh and the Urban is priced at Rs 1.23 lakh. The main difference between these two variants is the battery capacity and total riding range. Some additional new features as well as a larger battery can also be seen in the 2025 variant.

Currently, Chetak is the third best selling electric scooter brand in the country and with the affordable variants, Bajaj may reach the second position in a few months. But it will be interesting to see how despite not being very stylish and neutral, this brand has been able to establish such a huge trust among Indian buyers.
